LoK: ZUKO IS...ALIVE?!by =Shade-of-Anime

Spoiler Alert for those who don't play "Welcome To Republic City on the Nickelodeon website.

I KNEEEEEEEEEWWW IT!! ZUKO, I KNEW YOUR ASS WAS ALIVE AND KICKING!
And ironically I also had a hunch that he retired from his role as the Fire Lord and started travelling. I KNEW IT!! I F****KING KNEW IT!!

They said I was MAD, but here is the actual proof.

Man it is SO good to hear that Zuko is still alive in LOK. Because y’know what that means, right?

Cameo appearance

I get the strong feeling that we’ll be seeing grandpa Zuko popping his face into Republic City soon.
I just feel it.

I also found it cool that Zuko also had a daughter. Hey, isn’t it ironic that Aang (and Katara), Zuko and Toph’s firstborn children were girls.
I find that really interesting.

I see whatcha did thar Bryke.
Kinda makes me wonder now what their relationship was like? Could you image the old team and their respective families having a reunion every year on Air Temple Island? Could you imagine everyone sitting together and catching up on each other’s lives over tall glasses of non-alcoholic Cactus Juice (courtesy of Sokka) while laughing at their children, the new generation of benders playing together or showing off their bending abilities.
Could you imagine an adult Sokka telling the little kiddies his version of how Aang ended the 100 year war?

That would be a wonderful sight to see.
I’d really love it if Bryke did an episode like that. Showing the old Team Avatar as adults and Tenzin and everyone as kids playing. It’ll be nice.

Which brings me to my next assumption? If Zuko is alive...then there is 100% chance that TOPH is still alive and kicking too.

Personally I never assumed Toph dead even when Katara said that “her brother and many of her friends were gone”. The only past character confirmed deceased was Sokka ( ;__; ) and mind you, Katara had a ton of friends from the old series not to mention the many unnamed ones we don’t know about from “The Promise” so it could have been anyone.
But all in all, I think Toph is alive. After all, she’s an Earthbender and if you look back on the previous series, you’ll agree with me that Earthbenders tend to live longer lives than everyone else. I mean, look at Bumi (I wouldn’t be shocked if Korra and the gang rolled into Omashu and still found his supercenatarian ass of mad genius STILL alive after 70 years). Heck look at Avatar Kyoshi! She lived to be 230 years old and DID NOT AGE O_o (Call it an Avatar thing or an Earthbender Avatar thing or a youth facial cream thing? I dunno anymore).

All in all, I’m gonna hold to my theory that Toph is alive and still strong at the tender age of 83. My hunch is that after she’d established her Metalbending Police Force in Republic City (and other parts of the Avatar world), Toph retired from her post as Chief, leaving it in the hands of her only descendant: Lin, her daughter who inherited her mother’s responsibilities.
Following that, Toph, like Zuko, probably left Republic City and started travelling the Avatar World to either continue to further hone her Earthbending skills and develop newer techniques similar to the way she learnt how to metalbend (probably try her luck at mastering the art of Treebending---possessing the ability to manipulate wood and other plantlife) or teaching---y'know passing on her knowledge to anyone she met on her way. She’d be an ambassador for the traditional method of Earthbending. And it'll be hilarious to see a granny Toph.

I picture her to be the same way as she was when she was 12. I also expect her to tease Lin alot, especially about things like getting married and giving her some grandkids. XP

That’s my theory. To conclude, I’m really happy that Zuko is still alive and I can’t wait for his episode to come along which I KNOW is gonna happen.

Yeah...might

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the Zutarians wanting Zuko and Katara to remarry in their old age (which I surprisingly see a possibility of happening in the series) but...I'm a loyal Kataanger, I kinda want Katara to stay a widow because even after his death, Katara still very much loves her husband and wouldn't want to remarry because of loving devotion to Aang and the same goes for Zuko with his undying love for Mai.

Though I wouldn't mind the idea of Zuko and Katara travelling the world together and having tea together, more as good best friends rather than a couple (y'know like a Golden Girls sort of thing---old folks living together and spending their last days together as friends).

Sorry if I sorta burst your Zutara bubble.
